Patrick McKay started his professional career from his very first year at the University of Paris, as a Court clerk with Mssrs Jean & Jean-Jacques Fanet, a law firm specialized in proceedings before the Paris Court of Appeals. This unique experience enabled him to know in depth and understand the inner workings of the Courts of Justice and the part played by the judicial staff, Chamber secretaries, Court clerks, as well as the importance of the human relationship between lawyers and the judicial staff.
Enthused by the specificity of this “judicial world”, he joined Mssrs Jean & Jean-Jacques Fanet after his military service, as an internal clerk.
After a number of years he left his activities at the Court of Appeals, to join McKay & Co. in 1992 to set up the litigation department.
