McKay & Co was formed in Paris
in 1969 by Brendan P. McKay, a British national, member
of the Faculty of Advocates in Edinburgh and of the Paris Bar.
The lawyers at McKay & Co are all members of the Paris Bar
and some of them, members of foreign Bars, have resided abroad,
particularly in the United Kingdom, the United States of America
and the Middle-East. They are all bilingual (French/English),
some are trilingual (Arabic, Romanian).
Contrary to the current trend, McKay & Co has chosen to remain
independent, and to preserve a concentrated and accessible structure,
with a view to provide its clients and partners with an
efficient, personalised and trustworthy service.
In addition to its expected territorial scope of action in France,
McKay & Co, strengthened by its sound knowledge of cultural,
commercial and legal differences between France and the rest of
the world, has developed solid and privileged relations
with an important number of law firms abroad, particularly
in the United Kingdom, the United States, Asia and most
countries in the Middle-East.
McKay & Co thus provides its clients with useful legal advice
on all their commercial projects, the negotiating and drafting
of their contracts, their relations with their employees or sub-contractors,
and, if required, protects their interests before the Courts or
in the course of private or institutional arbitration.
